Once a year, Tennis Serves Others hosts its TSO Grand Gala and Tournament. This charitable event is a competitive tennis tournament with prizes, superb auction items, music, delicious food, and of course amazing cocktails. The proceeds from this event are distributed to beneficiaries chosen by Tennis Serves Others members in an annual vote. This year, the TSO Grand Gala and Tournament was a huge success thanks to our sponsors and generous members who donate their time and money to ensure that a great time is had by all.
Blue Marble Cocktails had a presence and served their delicious, ultra-premium ready-to-drink cocktails for attendees to enjoy. With the help of sponsors like Blue Marble Cocktails, Tennis Serves Others raised over $35,000, benefiting the Good Shepherd Shelter - housing abused women and their children, Caterina’s Club – feeding and educating hungry children, and the TSO GiveBack program – supporting youth tennis programs in low-income areas and providing basic living necessities to orphans around the world.
In this grand event’s third year at Laguna Niguel Racquet Club in Southern California, the 80-person tournament occurred on Saturday, April 13th, and participants enjoyed the fancy-dress gala on the Friday evening prior to the tournament. Attendees put on their dancing shoes, exercised their auction bidding arms, and heard the moving stories of lives that they and Tennis Serves Others will support with the fundraising proceeds.
Danyelle Rabine, Co-founder and EVP of Blue Marble Cocktails said, “It’s great that we are among a select few businesses involved in this charitable event; we hope that we can inspire more businesses to be involved in helping out fellow citizens on our blue marble.”
Tennis Serves Others is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that unites tennis ladies to organize and promote charitable activities benefiting needy individuals, groups or other non-profits in our local communities and throughout the world. The YPCI Charity Golf Outing at Eagle Creek Golf Course was on May 31st. It was a great time networking with new friends while giving back to the community as YPCI raised funds for the Hawthorne Community Center. This is the largest young professional golf outing in the state of Indiana. With sponsors on every hole to interact with over 100 players were out to enjoy the event.
Through fundraising and the raffling off over $1200 worth of prizes YPCI was able to raise over $2,000 for Gleaners Food Bank in 2018. This year YPCI had an even larger dollar goal to raise money for a deserving charity on the west side of Indianapolis. They sold mulligans, string, and raffle tickets to help surpass the goal of $5,000 in charitable donations.
Blue Marble Cocktails was on the green serving its delicious cocktails featuring the flavors of: Cosmo, Bloody Mary, Marble-Rita, and Moscow Mule. Alan Miller, fellow Hoosier and founder of Blue Marble Cocktails said, “It is an honor to be able to give back and be involved in these local community events. YPCI was a great turnout of incredible people. To be able to raise funds for this deserving charity in Indiana feels good and is just one way we try to give back to the blue marble.”
It all started when a group of YPs back in 2000 had a vision to connect professionals and promote the value of networking at an earlier point in one’s career. Back then, there were around 30 members. A year later, the group officially took on the name “YPCI” and quickly grew to over 100 members. YPCI is all about helping create the brightest business future for central Indiana as possible. This is best accomplished through fostering positive business relationships and professional opportunities as young professionals. For more information visit YPCI.
The mission of the Hawthorne Community Center is to provide or facilitate services and programs that meet the economic, educational, financial, social, recreational and civic needs of the entire Hawthorne Community.
