Radical’s premier series in North America will continue be named the Blue Marble Cocktails Radial Cup in 2019 after the title sponsorship was extended with the ultra-premium premixed cocktail maker, while Virginia International Raceway with Blancpain GT World Challenge America, April 25-28, has been confirmed as the first stop on the 2019 calendar.

“We’re delighted to announce the continuation of both Blue Marble Cocktails as title sponsor, and the World Challenge weekend at VIR as our first event,” commented Tom Drewer, Radical Sportscars North American Regional Manager. “Our partnership with Blue Marble elevated the series in every aspect last year– particularly with our trackside hospitality, which will again be included in this year’s entry fee.”

That fun will commence on April 25, when the Radical Cup once again joins World Challenge at Virginia International Raceway for four days of non-stop action including a Thursday promotor test day.
“The Blue Marble Radical Cup was definitely a fan favorite last year,” commented Connie Nyholm, Owner and CEO of Virginia International Raceway. “A big field, non-stop action from multi-class racing, and some of the fastest lap times seen over the weekend added a lot of excitement and we’re delighted to have the series back at VIR this year.” It was anticipated that Circuit of the Americas would be the opening round of the 2019 championship, and the series is on the verge of announcing when drivers will be headed to Austin this year.
“There is a number of big announcements in the pipeline and one is obviously when our COTA event will be, and I can tell you this year it will be our grand finale,” hinted Drewer.
